Ancient Celtic cross necklace in sterling silver with chain
The Celtic Cross finds its roots in Northern Europe around 5000 BC as a symbol representing the sun god Taranis. When Christianity came to this region it was adopted by the converted Christian Celts, and was commonly used in Scandinavian countries in the middle ages. Still today the symbol is linked with Ireland, Scotland and the Celts.
